Central Excise (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 1991 - 22/91 - Central Excise - Non Tariff

Central Excise (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 1991 Notification No. 22/91-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 18-7-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely :- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Excise (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 1991. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in rule 2, the following amendments shall be made, namely :- (a) in clause (ii), sub-clause (A), for item (n), the following items shall be substituted, namely :- "(n) in the districts of Durg, Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Raipur, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Sarguja, Jabalpur, Narsingpur, Balaghat, Seoni, Chhindwara, Mandla, Shahdol, Satna, Rewa, Sidhi and Panna of the State of Madhya Pradesh, the Collector of Central Excise, Raipur; (na) in the districts, other than those specified in item (n) above, of the State of Madhya Pradesh, the Collector of Central Excise, Indore;" (b) in clause (iia), for sub-clause (m), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely :- "(m) (i) the Collector of Central Excise, Indore; (ii) the Collector of Central Excise, Raipur; (iii) the Collector of Central Excise, Nagpur; the Collector of Central Excise (Appeals), Bhopal;" (c) in clause (viiia), for sub-clause (G), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely :- "(G) (1) Collector of Central Excise, Ahmedabad;; (2) Collector of Central Excise, Indore (3) Collector of Central Excise, Raipur; (4) Collector of Central Excise, Rajkot; (5) Collector of Central Excise, Vadodara; the Principal Collector of Central Excise, Vadodara."
