Central Excise (2nd Amendment) Rules, 1990 Notification No. 15/90-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 9-4-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely :- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Excise (2nd Amendment) Rules, 1990. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In Rule 2 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in clauses (ii), sub-clause (A) following amendments shall be made, namely:- (1) in item (a) the words "Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam" shall be omitted. (2) after item (zf) the following item shall be inserted, namely :- "(zh) in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam in the State of Andhra Pradesh, the Collector of Central Excise, Visakhapatnam".
