Amendment to Notification No. 226/67-C.E. [Rule 139] Notification No. 43/89-C.E. (N.T.) dated 18-9-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of rule 49 and rule 139 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 266/67-Central Excises, dated the 28th November, 1967, namely :- In paragraph 2 of the said notification, in clause (i), after item (zzh), the following item shall be inserted, namely :- "(zzi) Raigad District of the State of Maharashtra".
