Exemption to all kinds of goods produced in EOU, FTZ, EHTP, STP units when sold in India - Amendment to Notification No. 2/95-C.E. Notification No. 7/96-C.E. Dated 1-7-1996 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 2/95-Central Excises, dated the 4th January, 1995, namely :- In the said notification, in the third proviso, in clause (i), in sub-clause (a), for the words "identical in all respects", the words "identical in all respects, including goods which although not alike in all respects, have like characteristics and like component materials which enable them to perform the same functions and to be commercially interchangeable," shall be substituted.
