Soap produced without the aid of power or steam for heating exempted [Heading 34.01] Notification No. 102/94-C.E. Dated 4-5-1994 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 12/94-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1994, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said Notification, after Sl. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be added, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "4. 34.01 Soap Nil If, in or in relation to the manufacture of such soap, no process has been carried on with the aid of power or of steam for heating.".
