Paper - Amendment to Notification Nos. 138/86-C.E. and 139/86-C.E. Notification No. 109/90-C.E. Dated 16-5-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 01. 138/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the said notification, - (i) in the Table, against S. No. 5, in column (2), for the figures and word "7500 tonnes", the figures and word "16500 tonnes" shall be substituted; (ii) in para 2, for the figures and word "24,000 tonnes", the figures and word "33,000 tonnes" shall be substituted. 02. 139/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the said notification, in clause (iii) of the proviso, for the figures and word "24,000 tonnes", the figures and word "33,000 tonnes" shall be substituted.
