Amending Notification No. 219/69 so as to allow use of power in certain process for manufacture of hand made paper and paper board by KVIC. Notification No. 40/90-C.E. Dated 20-3-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 219/69-Central Excises, dated the 22nd November, 1969, namely :- In the said notification, in item No. (i), at the end, - (a) the word "and" shall be omitted; (b) the following proviso shall be inserted, namely,- "Provided that in the manufacture of such paper or paper-board, power driven sheet forming equipment, namely, the Cylinder Mould Vat upto 30 inches may be used; and".
