Amendment to Notification No. 157/83-C.E. [Chapter 59] Notification No. 128/89-C.E. Dated 12-5-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 157/83-Central Excises, dated the 21st May, 1983, namely : - In the said notification, - (a) for the words and figures "Rs. 4.00 per kg.", the words and figures "Rs. 4.20 per kg." shall be substituted; and (b) for the words and figures "Rs. 2.00 per kg.", the words and figures "Rs. 2.10 per kg." shall be substituted.
