Concessional rate of duty to high pressure sodium vapour lamps Notification No. 78/89-C.E. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 67/83-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1983, namely :- In the Table to the said notification,- (a) against S. No. 7, in column no. (3) for the word "lamps", the words "lamps other than high pressure sodium vapour lamps" shall be substituted; (b) after the S. No. 12 and the entries relating thereto, following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) "12A. 8539.00 High pressure sodium vapour lamps. 10 per cent ad valorem .".
