Amendments to Notification Nos. 173/88-C.E., 179/88-C.E., 180/88-C.E. and 183/88-C.E. Notification No. 68/89-C.E. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended, or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 01. 178/88-Central Ex cises, dated the 13th May, 1988 In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against S. No. 03, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 660 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 690 per tonne" shall be substituted; and (ii) against S. No. 04, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 1200 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 1260 per tonne" shall be substituted. 02. 179/88-Central Ex cises, dated the 13th May, 1988 In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 04, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 1,200 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 1260 per tonne" shall be substituted. 03. 180/88-Central Ex cises, dated the 13th May, 1988 In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against S. No. 09, in column (4), for the figures "18%", the figures "30%" shall be substituted; (ii) S. No. 13 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; and (iii) against S. No. 21, in column (4), for the figures "20%", the figures "30%" shall be substituted. 04. 183/88-Central Ex cises, dated the 13th May, 1988 In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against S. No. 03, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 600 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 630 per tonne" shall be substituted; (ii) against S. No. 04, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 600 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 630 per tonne" shall be substituted; and (iii) against S. No. 05, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rs. 1625 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 1705 per tonne" shall be substituted.
