Concessional rates of duty for textured polypropylene filament yarn Notification No. 58/89-C.E. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), and in supercession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue). No. 188/87-Central Excises, dated the 29th July, 1987, the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts polypropylene filament yarn of denierage not above 750, falling under heading No. 54.02 or 54.03 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986) from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon as in excess of the amount calculated at the rate of rupees 630 per kilogram. 2. This notification shall be in force up to and inclusive of the 31st day of December, 1990.
