Yarn, doubled or multifold Notification No. 318/86-C.E. Dated 22-5-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of Rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby exempts yarn, doubled or multifold, falling within Chapter 54 or 55 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule : Provided that such yarn, doubled or multifold, is manufactured out of yarn falling under Chapter 54 or 55 of the said Schedule on which the appropriate duty of excise has already been paid.
