Goods for defence purposes Notification No. 184/86-C.E. Dated 1-3-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby exempts all goods, falling under the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), manufactured by the units specified in the Annexure to this notification for supply to the Ministry of Defence for official purposes, from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule. ANNEXURE 1. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. 2. Bharat Electronics Limited. 3. Bharat Dynamics Limited. 4. National Instruments Limited, Calcutta.
