Exemption to samples of cotton fabrics Notification No. 98/86-C.E. Dated 10-2-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 258/82-Central Excises, dated the 8th November, 1982, namely :- In the said notification, in the opening portion for the words, figures and brackets "Item No. 19 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944)", the words, figures and brackets "heading Nos. 52.05 to 52.12 or 58.02 or 58.05 or 59.03 or 59.06 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986)" shall he substituted. 2. This notification shall come into force on the date of commencement of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986).
