Special Excise duty Notification No. 87/86-C.E. Dated 10-2-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 read with sub-section (4) of section 47 of the Finance Act, 1985 (32 of 1985), the Central Government hereby exempts goods, falling under the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), from so much of the special duty of excise leviable thereon under sub-section (1) of the said section as is in excess of the special duty of excise which was leviable on such goods under the said sub-section (1) [read with the notifications specified in the Schedule hereto annexed] on the day immediately preceding the date of commencement of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986). 2. This notification shall come into force on the date of commencement of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986). SCHEDULE 1. No. 128/85-C.E., dated the 24th May, 1985. 2.
