Set off of duty Notification No. 81/86-C.E. Dated 10-2-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 68/84-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1984, namely :- In the said notification,— (i) for the words, figures and brackets "Item No. of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944)", the words and figures "Chapter, Heading No. or Sub-heading No. of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986)" shall be substituted; (ii) for the words "said Act", the words and figures "Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944)" shall be substituted; (iii) for the words "Item No. of the said First Schedule", the words "Chapter, Heading No. or Sub-heading No. of the said Schedule" shall be substituted. (iv) for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:- THE TABLE S. This notification shall come into force on the 28th day of February, 1986.
