Aluminium and articles thereof - 57/86 - Central Excise - TariffExtract Aluminium and articles thereof Notification No. 57/86-C.E. Dated 10-2-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 47/84-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1984, the Central Government hereby exempts the goods of the description specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed and falling under Heading No. 76.04 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon under Section 3 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table, subject to the conditions, if any, laid down in the corresponding entry in column (4) thereof. Nil If such wires are used in the manufacture of aluminium strips in any form or size, falling under Sub-heading No. 7605.90 of the said Schedule in the same factory where such wires are manufactured. 2. Bare aluminium wires of thickness 3.25 mm or more. Nil If the Assistant Collector of Central Excise is satisfied that such wires are used in the factory of production for the manufacture of bare aluminium wires finer than 3.25 mm. 3. Bare aluminium wires of thickness 3.25 mm. or more. Ten per cent ad valorem — 2. This notification shall come into force on the 28th day of February, 1986.
