Appointment of Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) - Amendment to Notification No. 29/97-Cus. (N.T.) Notification No. 44/98-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 30-6-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section (4) of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 29/97-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th July, 1997, namely :- In the Table to the said notification, - (a) against serial No. 12, for the entries in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Commissioners of Customs, Delhi, Amritsar, Commissioners of Central Excise, Delhi-I, Delhi-II, Delhi-III"; (b) against serial No. 13A, for the entries in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Commissioner of Central Excise, Vadodara"; (c) after serial No. 14 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) "15. Commissioner of Customs (Appeals), Jaipur. Commissioner of Customs, Jodhpur. Commissioners of Central Excise, Jaipur-I, Jaipur-II. 16. Commissioner of Customs (Appeals), Surat. Commissioners of Central Excise, Surat-I, Surat-II".
