Exchange rates for imported goods - Notification No. 28/98-Cus. (N.T.) amended Notification No. 34/98-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 6-6-1998 In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (2 of 1899) and sub-clause (1) of clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 28/98-N.T.-Customs [S.O. 471(E)], dated 28th May, 1998, namely :- In the Schedule-I of the said Notification for serial No. 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13 14 and Schedule-II of the said notification for serial No. 1 the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :- Sl. No. Foreign Currency Rate of exchange of one unit of foreign currency equivalent to Indian rupees. 3. Canadian Dollar 28.90 5. Deutsche Mark 23.80 6. Dutch Guilder 21.00 7. French Franc 7.00 11. Pound Sterling 68.70 13. Swiss Franc 28.50 14. U.S. Dollar 42.00 SCHEDULE - II Sl. No. Foreign Currency Rate of exchange of 100 units of foreign currency equivalent to Indian rupees. 1. Belgian Francs 115.00 This rate will be effective from 8th June, 1998.
