Imports from Bangladesh - Reduction in preferential rates of duty on specified goods Notification No. 144/94-Cus. Dated 8-7-1994 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 290/90-Customs, dated the 17th December, 1990, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against S. Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 for the entries in column (4), the entries "35% ad valorem" shall respectively be substituted; (ii) against S. No. 9, for the entry in column (4), the entry "55% ad valorem" shall be substituted; and (iii) against S. No. 10, for the entry in column (4), the entry "55% ad valorem" shall be substituted.
