Amends notification No. 185/88 so as to prescribe a basic duty of 55% on specified nylon tyres. Notification No. 55/90-Cus. Dated 20-3-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 185/88-Customs dated the 26th May, 1988, namely:- In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "60 per cent ad valorem", the figures and words "55 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted.
