Amends Notification No. 142/87-Cus. relating to vessels imported for breaking Notification No. 53/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 142/87-Customs, dated the 27th March, 1987, namely :- In the said notification, - (a) in item (i), for the words and figures "Rs. 750 per Light Displacement Tonnage", the words and figures "Rs. 615 per Light Displacement Tonnage" shall be substituted; (b) in item (ii), for the words and figures "Rs. 365 per Light Displacement Tonnage", the words and figures "Rs. 500 per Light Displacement Tonnage" shall be substituted.
