Amendment to Notification No. 44/86 and 76/86-Cus; both dated 17-2-1986, withdrawing concessional basic customs duty on liquors and spirituous beverages; restricting additional duty exemption to liquors Notification No. 40/88-Cus. Dated 1-3-1988 Inexercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 2. 76/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the said notification, for the word "liquors", the word "liqueurs", shall be substituted.
