Customs (Appeals) Amendment Rules, 1986 - 252/86 - Customs -TariffExtract Customs (Appeals) Amendment Rules, 1986 Notification No. 252/86-Cus. Dated 16-4-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 156 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Customs (Appeal) Rules, 1982, namely :— 1. (1) These rules may be called the Customs (Appeals) Amendment Rules, 1986. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. (1) In the Customs (Appeals) Rules, 1982,— (a) in Form No. C.A.-I, after Serial No. 6, the following shall be inserted, namely :— "6A.Whether the appellant wishes to be heard in person." (b) in Form No. C.A.-3, after Serial No. 9, the following shall be inserted, namely :— "9A. Whether the appellant wishes to be heard in person.": (c) in Form No. C.A.-8, after Serial No. 8, the following shall be inserted, namely :— "8A. Whether the appellant wishes to be heard in person.".
