To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Alumina/Aluminium, refining , smelting, associated processes, products and raw material industrial sector at APIIC Industrial Park, villages Rachapalli, G. Koduru, Tamaram, Mandal-Makavarapallem, District Visakhapatnam - Andhra Pradesh MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 5th March, 2010 S. O. 546(E).- Whereas M/s. Anrak Aluminium Limited, a private organisation in the state of Andhra Pradesh, had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2008) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act ) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Alumina/Aluminium, refining , smelting, associated processes, products and raw material industrial sector at APIIC Industrial Park, villages Rachapalli, G. Koduru, Tamaram, Mandal-Makavarapallem, District Visakhapatnam in the State of Andhra Pradesh; And whereas, the Central Government was satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act , and other related requirements are fulfilled and it had granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the said Act for an area of 779.43 hectares for development, operation and maintenance of the above sector specific Special Economic Zone on the 24th December, 2008. And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified the area of 113.69159 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification number S.O. 1167(E) dated 5th May, 2009 . And whereas, M/s. Anrak Aluminium Limited has now proposed to include an area of 641.966 hectares out of the remaining area in the said Special Economic Zone; Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 , and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an area of 641.966 hectares as part of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby making total area of the Special Economic Zone as 755.657 hectares, comprising of the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE Click here to download the table
