NOTIFICATION Denotification of sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Dhoran Khas, Danda Dhoran, Gugrada Man Singhwala villages, Sahastra Dhara Road, Dehradun in the State of Uttarakhand; Rescission of Notification No. SO 1456(E), dated 16-6-2008 NOTIFICATION NO. S.O. 568(E), DATED 15-3-2011 Whereas, M/s. State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Dhoran Khas, Danda Dhoran, Gugrada Man Singhwala villages, Sahastra Dhara Road, Dehradun in the State of Uttarakhand; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006, had notified an area of 14.6 hectares at the above location as Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 1456(E), dated 16th June, 2008, comprising the following survey number and area as given below in the table : TABLE Sl. State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited has proposed to denotify the entire area of 14.6 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for denotification of above on 21st January, 2011; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
