To set up a multi-product Special Economic Zone at Village Mundra, Taluka Mundra, District Kutch in the State of Gujarat; MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 2nd May, 2008 S.O. 1079(E).— Whereas, M/s. Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone Limited, a private organization in the State of Gujarat, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a multi-product Special Economic Zone at Village Mundra, Taluka Mundra, District Kutch in the State of Gujarat; And, whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of Section.3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the said Act for development, operation and maintenance of the multi-product Special Economic Zone at Mundra Village area on the l8th March, 2008; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones, Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the following area at Village Mundra, Taluka Mundra, District Kutch in the State of Gujarat, comprising of the survey numbers and the area given below in the Table, as a Special Economic Zone, namely TABLE Sl.
