Conditions on the Export of Cotton

As per Foreign Trade Policy export of cotton is “Free” subject to prior registration of contracts with DGFT. The purpose of registration is to monitor the quantity of export.

: No quota has been prescribed by the Government for export of cotton.

This information was given by Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia , Minister of State for Commerce & Industry in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.
