purchase plantation and sale thereon, FEMA

[Thomas Cherian]

A lady residing in Belgium having an Overseas Indian Passport bought certain plantations in Kerala and sold part of it  in 1993. She didnot report anything so far nor took any permission.

Now the bankers tell her to sell the remaining land otherwise she has to face prosecution.

But she is noe 67 years and would like to stay in the farm house for atleast 5 months in an year and doesnort want to sell
