payment done on wrong ecc code, Service Tax

we have paid GAR-7 challan of ST payment towards GTA, MRS etc on wrong ST registration no. please suggest the solution.

You may bring the same to the notice of Superintendent having jurisdiction about the wrong payment and act as per his advice.

Dear,

If payment is made in Wrong Accounting head than the same can be corrected by writing letter to Division office.

But if payment is made in wrong Registration code no. than u hv to pay once again in correct code & apply for refund for service tax paid in wrong Registration no.
