Ratification of SION

  • Contents

Dear Sir,

We have imported raw material under Advance Authorisation Scheme.  In the Application ANF 4B we have said that the loss in processing would be about 25%.  The NC has now fixed the loss norms (after one year of follow-up) at 11% which is very low and we may not be able to ahere to it nor fulfill the EO.

Is there any avenue available to us to represent the NC, once again,  to modify the rate fixed by them

Can we request  technical committee members to visit our plant to get the first hand information on the yield we obtain

If, still, NC not consider our request, what is the recourse available

regards

PSSatyanarayana

Following points may be helpful to you for ratification of Norms, namely: -

  1. Process flow chart showing the stage wise loss occurring.
  2. Technical writeups, chemical reactions equations etc.
  3. A recommendation letter from the product specific association.
  4. Plant visit for better understanding of the manufacturing process
  5. Central Excise records, VAT Return, AS -2 etc.
  6. Request letter for re-opening the case on merits.
  7. Industrial norms evidence to substantiate your loss and claims.
  8. Chartered Engineers' certificate.
  9. Chartered Accountant's certificate.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your quick guicance.

We have provided all these details at the time of application.  In spite of this, the norms have now been fixed much lower rate at whcih make us to difficult to fullfill the EO.

Therefore my request to kinow any avenues  to represent our case once again and still if they (NC) turn down - the recourse available to us as per the statute.

regards

You would have to again file the documents and get the help from the trade association.
