Food Safety Pact: India-Bhutan Update Expands Import List to 117 Approved Establishments with Streamlined Compliance

CBIC Instruction implementing bilateral food safety agreement between India and Bhutan, updating approved establishment list for import compliance. FSSAI issued Office Order dated 19.05.2025 sharing revised list of 117 approved Bhutanese establishments, with no modifications to existing health certificate format or authorized signatory list. Customs authorities instructed to sensitize jurisdictional officers regarding implementation, with partial modification to previous Instruction No. 22/2024-Customs. All prior compliance requirements remain unchanged, ensuring continued regulatory alignment in bilateral food trade.
