2001 (9) TMI 679 - AT - Customs

The appeal was against the Commissioner (Appeals) order dismissing the appeal related to the price of newsprint sold in auction by the Customs House. The Tribunal found the appeal not maintainable as the transaction was a contractual obligation, not governed by the Customs Act, 1962. The appeal was dismissed.
