The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, New Delhi heard an application regarding the deposit of duty and penalty. The applicants were ordered to pay Rs. 4 lakhs in cash within six weeks. Upon this payment, the pre-deposit of the remaining duty and penalty was waived, and recovery stayed pending appeal.
