Section 1 - Short title and commencement - Labour Provident Fund Laws (Amendment) Act, 1976Extract MINISTRY OF LAW, JUSTICE AND COMPANY AFFAIRS (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 9th September, 1976/Bhadra 18, 1898 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 7th September, 1976, and is hereby published for general information: - THE LABOUR PROVIDENT FUND LAWS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1976 No. 99 OF 1976 [7th September, 1976] An Act further to amend the Coal Mines Provident Fund, Family Pension and Bonus Schemes Act, 1948, the Employees Provident Funds and Family Pension Fund Act, 1952, the Wealth-tax Act, 1957 and the Income-tax Act, 1961. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows: - CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Labour Provident Fund Laws (Amendment) Act, 1976. (2) The provisions of sections 30 and 31 shall come into force at once and the remaining provisions of this Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of August, 1976.
