Subject:- Appointment of professional persons like chartered accountants, solicitors, etc., as directors/managing directors requires Government approval If an advocate is validly appointed as managing director in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, there will be no bar simply because he is a practising lawyer, although his appointment as such may be in violation of the Bar Council Act and it appears to be a matter for the Bar Council to take up with the person concerned.
