The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), New Delhi, has directed us to observe the period upto 30.06.2013 as Drawback clearance period. In this regard, a Special Drawback Cell has been constituted under a Nodal Officer; Shri D.Ranjith Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Custom House, Tuticorin. The address, Telephne No. and E-mail ID of the officer is as follows: Address: OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS, CUSTOM HOUSE, NEW HARBOUR ESTATE, TUTICORIN-628 004 Telephone No. 0461-2352633, 2352655 Fax No. 0461-2352019 E-mail ID: dbktutcus@gmail.com The details of shipping bills pending in Query for want of reply from Exporters, relating to CUSTOM HOUSE, TUTICORIN AND ST.JOHN ICD, TUTICORIN (INTUTI AND INTUT6), have been uploaded in the CUSTOM HOUSE TUTICORIN WEBSITE : www.tuticorincustoms.gov.in 2. All the Exporters, Customs brokers and the Trade are requested to take note for suitable compliance so that pending Drawback Claims could be disposed off at the earliest. 3. It is hereby informed that Shipping bills pending in Exporter's queue for more than a year for want of reply to queries will be processed in the following manner: a) The shipping bills with a query on drawback serial No. will be finalized with the appropriate serial No. applicable, without waiting for a reply from the Exporter. b) The shipping bills with a query on freight and insurance will be finalized after taking freight as 20% of FOB value and Insurance as 1.125% of FOB value, without waiting for a reply from the Exporter. c) The shipping bills with a query on value of hanger, will be processed, reckoning value for kids hanger @RS.3/-per piece and for others @Rs.5/-per piece, without waiting for a reply from the Exporter.
