All the Importers, Exporters and the Trade are hereby informed Central Board of Excise Customs vide Circular No 56/2016 -Cus dated 24.11.2016 has issued guideline pertaining to abolition of Mate s Receipt, 2. Board has observed that In view of the chanced business workflow need for issuance of Mate s receipt is no more there. Therefore, Board has decided that in the case of containerized cargo issuance of Mate s respect should not be insisted. However, in respect of non-containerized export cargo like bulk cargo etc, the practice of issuing Mate s receipt would continue. 3.
