No. 450/80/2000-Cus.IV Dated 31-5-2004 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Subject : Implementation of provisions of clause (3), sub-clause (22) of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India ) Order, 2003 - Regarding. I am directed to invite your attention to the Board's letter F. No. 450/80/2000-Cus. IV, dated 20-4-2004 vide which the Notification No. S.O. 427(E), dated 29-3-2004 regarding requirement of phytosanitary certificate in respect of packaging material of imported goods, issued by Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation was forwarded to all field formations. In the said Notification, the date of commencement of sub-clause (22), clause (3) of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 was deferred from 1-4-2004 to 1-6-2004. 2. In this connection all concerned are hereby directed to withhold the implementation of sub-clause (22), clause (3) of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 from 1-6-2004 until further orders.
