Actus reus As per Black s Law Dictionary , 6th Edition Actus reus. The guilty act. A wrongful deed which renders the actor criminally liable if combined with mens rea. The actus reus is the physical aspect of a crime, whereas the mens rea (guilty mind) involves the intent factor.
