Word "Body" - Indian Laws - GeneralExtract Body As per Black s Law Dictionary , 4th Edition BODY. A person. Used of a natural body, or of an artificial one created by law, as a corporation. The main part of the human body; the trunk. Walker v. State, 34 Fla. 167, 16 So. 80, 43 Am.St. Rep. 186. The term may, however, embrace all members of the person, Louisville Ry. Co. v. Veith, 157 Ky. 424, 163 S.W. 217; including the head, Franklin v. State, 33 Ohio Cir.Ct.R. 21, 22. Also the main part of an instrument; in deeds it is spoken of as distinguished from the recitals and other introductory parts and signatures; in affidavits, from the title and jurat. A collection of laws ; that is, the embodiment of the laws in one connected statement or collection, called a body of laws
