MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 26 April, 2007 S.O. 672(E) - Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) , the Central Government, vide notification number 1142(E) dated the 30 th September, 2003 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), notified Kandla Special Economic Zone in the State of Gujarat; And, whereas, Kandla Special Economic Zone has proposed an additional area of 271.75 acres to be included in the said notified area of 700 acres of part as the Kandla Special Economic Zone in the State of Gujarat; And, whereas, the said proposal for increasing the area of Kandla Special Economic Zone from 700 acres of land to 971.75 acres has been approved by the Board of Approval on 8 th August, 2006; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies and additional area of 271.75 acres as part of the Kandla Special Economic Zone in the State of Gujarat, comprising the old survey Nos (i) 224 (Part), (ii) 227 (Part) renumbered as No. 155/1 of Village Kidana, Sub-Registration District Gandhidham, Registration District Kutch, Gujarat; F.
