Central Government specifies the United News of India , New Delhi , as a news agency u/s 10(22B) NOTIFICATION NO. 1405 DATED 3-4-2000 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (22B) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies the United News of India, New Delhi, as a news agency set up in India solely for collection and distribution of news for the purposes of the said clause for the assessment years 2000-2001 to 2002-2003. 2. The assessee will regularly file its return of income before the income-tax authority in accordance with the Provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961. [Notification No. 11317/F. No. 165/2/99-ITA-I]
