Special Economic Zone, at Mahindra World City Chengalpattu, Taluk, Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 4th May, 2009 S.O. 1154(E). - Whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , has notified the total area of 262.13.8 hectares at Mahindra World City, Taluk Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu as sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology, hardware and bio-informatics (hereinafter referred to as the said Special Economic Zone), vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification number S.O. 2104(E), dated the 15th December, 2006 and subsequently notified an additional area of 8.65.5 hectares and de-notified 6.63 hectares from the above said Special Economic Zone, at Mahindra World City Chengalpattu, Taluk, Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu vide its notification number S.O. 2455(E) dated 15th October, 2008 ; And whereas, M/s Mahindra World City Developers Limited has again proposed to include additional areas of 1.43.7 hectares at Village Hanumanthai, Taluk, Chengalpattu, District Kancheepuram in the State of Tamil Nadu as a part of the said Special Economic Zone; And whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the said Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone at the said Village on 30th January, 2009; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 1.43.7 hectares at Village Hanumanthai, Taluk, Chengalpattu, District Kancheepuram in the State of Tamil Nadu, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, to be included as apart of that Special Economic Zone, and for that purpose makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry number S.O. 2104(E), dated the 15th December, 2006, namely: - In the Table appended to the said notification, after serial number 125 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall be inserted, namely:- TABLE Sl No. Name of the Village Survey Number Ares (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) (4) "125A Hanumanthai 225/1Part 0.04.8 125B Hanumanthai 225/2Part 0.08.2 125C Hanumanthai 225/3Part 0.08.5 125D Hanumanthai 225/4Part 0.21.9 125E Hanumanthai 225/5Part 0.12.9 125F Hanumanthai 226/4Full 0.11.5 125G Hanumanthai 226/5Full 0.12.0 125H Hanumanthai 226/6Full 0.12.5 125I Hanumanthai 226/9Full 0.11.0 125J Hanumanthai 226/10Full 0.12.0 125K Hanumanthai 24/1Full 0.13.4 125L Hanumanthai 24/2Full 0.15.0" Total 1.43.7 [F.
