Amendment to Notification Nos. 162/86-C.E., 39/87-C.E., 42/87-C.E. and 80/89-C.E. Notification No. 74/91-C.E. Dated 25-7-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 162/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 17A, in column (3), for the entries against (i) and (ii), the following entry shall respectively be substituted, namely :- "Motor vehicles for the transport of goods other than those specially designed for the transport of compressed or liquefied gases." 2. 39/87-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1987. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in column (2), for the letters, figures and words "Rs. 12,000 per tonne" wherever they occur, the letters, figures and words "Rs. 15,000 per tonne" shall be substituted. 3. 42/87-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1987. In the Table annexed to the said notification, for S. No. 03 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) "03. FILMS, OTHER THAN ADVERTISE-MENT SHORTS AND FILMS, NOT OTHER-WISE SPECIFIED OF WHATEVER LENGTH Rs. 2.00 per metre Rs. 3.30 per metre". 4. 80/89-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1989. In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. Nos. 01 and 02, in column (2), for the figure "50" wherever it occurs, the figure "75" shall be substituted.
