Closure of Salt Factory Notification No. 16/87-C.E. Dated 7-2-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 109 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that on the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the portions of the salt works of Sarvai and Nawa Mukh Salt Works in Bassein Salt Factory in Village Umela in Taluka Vasai in District Thane in the State of Maharashtra shall be closed down for salt manufacture to the extent specified in the Schedule below and that the licences relating to the said portions of the Sarvai and Nawa Mukh Salt Works, shall stand cancelled.
