Effective rates of duty for plastic and plastic materials Notification No. 446/86-C.E. Dated 12-11-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 132/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, for S. No. 6 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "6. 3904.20 Plastic material commonly known as polyvinyl chloride compounds (PVC compounds) (i) having a specific gravity of less than 1.28. Nil - (ii) having a specific gravity of 1.28 or more. Thirty per cent ad valorem. - (iii) having a specific gravity of 1.28 no more Nil If no credit of duty paid on the inputs used in the manufacture of such PVC compounds has been availed of under rule 56A or 57A of the said rules."
