Maritime Commissioner, Calcutta to exercise powers of Commissioner of Central Excise throughout India under Rules 13, 14A, 14B, 187 and 187A Notification No. 38/98-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 18-9-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Maritime Commissioner, Calcutta to exercise all the powers throughout the territory of India, as are conferred on the Commissioner of Central Excise by rule 13, rule 14, rule 14A, rule 14B, rule 187 and rule 187A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944.
