Budget notification on excise - 010/98 - Central Excise - Tariff

This Notification has been Rescinded vide Notification No. 17/2003-CE, Dated 01/03/2003 Budget notification on excise Notification No. 10/98-C.E., Dated 2-6-1998 . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1994 (1 of 1994) , read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise ( Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957) , the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts tyre cord fabrics falling under Heading No. 59.02 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon under the Schedule to the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 , as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate of Rs. 10 per kg.
