SEZ notified at Ayiroopara and Kazhakoottam villages, Trivandrum District in the State of Kerala [PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY, PART-II SECTION-3, SUBSECTION (ii)] Government of India Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) New Delhi , dated the 11th April, 2007 . NOTIFICATION S.O. 572(E).-Whereas M/s. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, a fully owned State Industrial Promotion Organisation of the State of Kerala, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereinafter referred to as the Act, to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology sector (Animation and Gaming) at Ayiroopara and Kazhakoottam villages, Trivandrum District in the State of Kerala; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology sector (Animation and Gaming) at the said Ayiroopara and Kazhakoottam villages Area on 6th July, 2006; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the following area at Ayiroopara and Kazhakoottam villages, Trivandrum District in the State of Kerala, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given below in the Table, as a Special Economic Zone, namely: Table Serial Village Survey Number Area (in hectares) Number (1) (2) (3) (4) 1 Ayiroopara 407/1-1, 9.521 Block-12 2 Kazhakoottam 158/3 Part, 0.600 Block-11 Total 10.121 hectares (F.2/35/2005-EPZ) Anil Mukim, Joint Secretary to the Government of India. ********* NOTES:- 1.
